Marty and Karla Grant

!NOTE:Joseph GRANT born ca 1842/43 was listed with Thomas & Amy in the 1850 census, but he was way too young to be a son of theirs, so it seems likely he was a grandson. However, it is not obvious who his parents were. He isn't a son of Andrew GRANT & Sarah WHITAKER as that family seems complete (birth dates for most indicate a Family Bible record somewhere). He may be a son of Alexander GRANT and Susan LYTLE, but it would be a tight squeeze between two other children. That leaves James GRANT and Malinda GRANT. They had a son named Joseph, who was a different person. That only leaves the daughters as a possible mother to an illegitimate Joseph GRANT. Other possibilities exist though, such as him being a Nephew of Thomas & Amy instead;
