Services for Ellen Edwards Johnson, 73, were held Saturday in Cools Springs Southern Methodist Church with burial in Cool Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Johnson died Friday at her home following a long illness. Born in Horry County, she was a daughter of the late Wyle and Clarke Elizabeth James Edwards. She was a member of Cool Springs Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, Elliott Bryant Johnson Sr. of Aynor; two sons Bryant E. Johnson Jr., and J. Calhoun Johnson of Aynor; five daughters Thelma Hellem and Julie Doyle of Aynor, Mrs. Carlon (Janet)Rabon of Galivants Ferry, Mrs. Bobby (Peggy Ann)Baker of Conway and Audrey Knaggs of Lake Hauasue AZ; five brothers Donald Edwards of Lancaster, Emerson Edwards of Rock Hill, and James Edwards, John Edwards, and Jack Edwards of Aynor; seven sisters Amanda Johnson and Nettie Maude Tyler of Conway, Rebecca Parker and Flora Belle Edwards of Aynor, Tronnie Huggins of Galivants Ferry and Alma Johnson of Marion and Mrs. Cecil (Nellie)Watson of Florence; 15 grandchildren.
