"The projenitor of this family was named James. He came from Virginia in the eighteenth century, married and had five sons, John, James, Jr, Jerre, Gadi and Theophilus; and one daughter, Nancy Ann, who became the wife of old John HUGGINS, of Huggins Bridge on Little Pee Dee, and who has already been noticed herein among the Huggins family; and Mary, who married Willis HUGGINS, cousin of old John, and Elizabeth, who never married." Frank married a Miss JONES, daughter of Ebby JONES, and is now a young citizen and promises well. Ebby CAMPBELL married Charlotte LANE, and has six children - three sons, Spencer, George and another, name unknown; one daughter married Leonard LEWIS, and has a family (small); another daughter married some one unknown; think the other daughter is single.";

Their children who have died: Jeremiah died in Mississippi. Celia Oct 1st 1867. James C. died June the 11th 1893. Arry died Dec 14th 1896. Ebenezer died Aug 24 1907, age 79. Annice Sept 15th 1901. He married in 1815;
