Ethel Holcomb
Ethel Stewart Shuler Holcomb, 82, of Robbinsville, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2006 at Britthaven of Graham.
She was a native of Graham County and the daughter of the late James and Biddie Carringer Stewart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Myrtle Grant, Loretta Orr and her first husband and father of her children, Noah Shuler.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Holcomb; son and his wife, Roger and Janie Shuler of Robbinsville; daughter and her husband, Rena and Robert Soyars of Reidsville; brothers, James Stewart, Fred Stewart, Don Stewart; and sisters, Helen Rolen and Irene Marsh; four grandchildren, Rev. Derron Shuler, Monica Hall, Barbara Cox, Keith Soyars; and four great-grandchildren, Kelsey Davis, Jay Shuler, Garrett Hall and Zachary Hall.
Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 4 at Lone Oak Baptist Church. Revs. Donald Colvard, Noah Crowe, her grandson, Rev. Derron Shuler and her great-grandson, Jay Shuler officiated. Burial was in Lone Oak Cemetery.
Townson-Smith Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
