Ruth T. Barnhill

Ruth T. Barnhill, 91, died Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Carolinas Hospital System in Marion. Mrs. Barnhill was born in Horry County, a daughter of the late Noah and Josephine Johnson Turner. The loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister leaves her family with many wonderful memories to cherish.
Mrs. Barnhill was preceded in death in addition to her parents, by her husband, Lonnie Thomas Barnhill; two sons, Fred and Aubrey Barnhill; five brothers, and three sisters.
She is survived by three sons, A.W. Barnhill of Mullins, J.K. Barnhill of Charlotte, N.C., and Johnny Barnhill of Mullins; four daughters, Pauline Cooke of Mullins, Hazel (Henry) Jackson of Dillon, Eloise Stevens of Mullins, and Ernestine (Nelson) Jones of Marion; one sister, Margie Barnhill of Aynor; seventeen grandchildren, and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 21, 2012 at Meares Funeral Home in Mullins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Rehobeth United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
