Tessie Bell Sawyer Graham Richburg, 92, died Sunday, July 31, 2011, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Richburg was born July 4, 1919, in Marion, SC, a daughter of Willie J. and Essie O'Dell Campbell Sawyer. She attended Marion County Schools and was a retired Warsaw Manufacturing employee. In addition to her parents and husband Earl Richburg, she was preceded in death by her first husband S. Moye Graham, Sr., her daughter Gloria Wingate, and two brothers, Willie J. "Buddy" Sawyer and Pierce Sawyer. "Miss Tessie" adored having visitors. She offered food and encouragement to all who stopped by. Her gentle nature and complete attention left us all eager for more and is the wholesome quality we will miss the most. Her only competitive side was her love of the Clemson Tigers, who have lost a number one fan. Surviving are: daughters, Rose G. Easler and Robin G. Mouzon, both of Greeleyville, and Patricia G. (Terrell) Cook, of Matthews, NC; sons, S. Moye Graham, Jr., of Manning and Arthur (Jackie) Graham, of Lane;12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Hazel Violette, of Nashville, TN and Mary Waller, of Clinton, NC; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday, August 3, 2011, in the chapel of Williamsburg Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Greeleyville Baptist Church, PO Box 276, Greeleyville, SC 29056 or Mt. Hope Cemetery Fund, c/o Bank of Greeleyville, PO Box 278, Greeleyville, SC 29056. Online condolences may be sent to the family in the obituaries section of www.WilliamsburgFuneralHome.com.
