William Stanley Johnson, 63, of Galivants Ferry section April 9, 1964. Mr. Johnson was born in the Cool Springs section of Horry County Aug. 23, 1900, a son of the late Jesse C. Johnson and Sallie Alford Johnson. He was a member of the Galivants Ferry Baptist Church. Mr. Johnson was twice married. Surviving his first marriage to the late Mrs. Annie Lou Murrow Johnson are two sons William S. Johnson Jr., Lafayette LA, and G. Palmer Johnson, Laurinburg NC; three daughters Mrs. R. R. (Ruby) Fowler, Laurinburg NC, Mrs. Lavern (Frances) Shelley, Charleston, Mrs. Epps D. (Sallie) Graham of Aynor. Surviving his second marriage are his widow, Mrs. Ruth Hardee Johnson; six stepsons Woodrow Stevens, Longs, G. G. Stevens, Wilmington, R. E. Stevens, Columbia, Junior Stevens, Columbia; two stepdaughters Mrs. Ausbon (Rebecca) Elliott, Columbia, Mrs. Claude(Blanchie)Ridgeway, Johnston. Also surviving are three brothers Sylvester Johnson, Rt. 1 Galivants Ferry, James T. Johnson, Columbia, Jesse C. Johnson, Columbia; three sisters Mrs. Boyd Clyburn, Columbia, Mrs. L. A. nimmons, Bishopville, Mrs. J. D. Campbell, Columbia; 10 grandchildren and 33 step grandchildren.
