!OBITUARY:
Clyde Franklin Rogers, 90, passed away on November 30, 2021 at MUSC Marion, with his daughters by his side. A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, December 3, 2021 at Richardson Funeral Home, burial will follow at Palmetto Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 11:00am-12:00 Noon at the funeral home. The family will also be receiving friends at the McIntyre Cook House located on Sunnyside Loop in the Wahee Community of Marion County on Thursday, December 2.
Clyde was born in Nichols, SC on August 31, 1931 to Luther Denzie Rogers and Sally Marie Rogers. Clyde grew up as a young child with two brothers and six sisters, all deceased. Clyde moved with his family to Marion, SC, in his early teens where he met his wife, Anna Kathryn Jordan Rogers and raised three daughters.
Clyde was predeceased by his parents, his wife of 66 years Anna Kathryn Jordan Rogers and beloved daughter, Debra Rogers McIntyre.
Clyde was a long-time active member of Marion Baptist Church and the Oak Tree Sunday School Class. For many years, he looked forward to working with other members on the Judgement House presentation. He also volunteered with the church Soup Kitchen. Clyde is well-known for his service with Cooks for Christ. After 37 years, he retired from Stone Industries known the “The Old Goat” Papermaker.
Clyde is survived by his daughters Susan Stevens (Dan) of Conway, SC; Frankie Sherill (Kelly) of Jacksonville, FL; Godchild Stacy Jordan (Tonya); sister-in-law Magdolene “Maggie” Jordan; brother-in-law Harry Jordan. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; Dani Stevens Norman, Jonathan Stevens, Joshua Stevens, Robert McIntyre, Brett McIntyre Felix, Addie McIntyre Taylor and Brian Sherrill, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the staff of MUSC Marion and Agape Hospice. Your genuine care and concern for daddy and our family is beyond measure.

ANNA KATHRYN ROGERS
Anna Kathryn Jordan Rogers, 84, died Sunday, July 2, 2017 after an extended illness. Funeral Services will be at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Richardson Funeral Home, burial will follow at Palmetto Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 4:00-5:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Rogers was born in the Sellers Community of Dillon County, a daughter of the late Norford and Reba Stevens Jordan. She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Debra McIntyre (Al); brothers: Norford Jordan, Jr., James Jordan, Billy Jordan, and Charlie Jordan; and sisters, Ruth Jordan Richardson and Mary Emma Jordan Johnson. Mrs. Rogers worked for Herbert Mills, Professional Pharmacy, and operated a daycare out of her home for multiple years. She also raised money to open and manage the American Legion pool for the children of Marion for many years. Mrs. Rogers was a member of Marion Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Clyde Rogers, of the home; daughters, Susan Stevens (Dan) of Florence, SC and Frankie Sherrill (Kelly) of Conover, NC; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, as well as one more great-grandchild “in the oven”.
