William A Grant:
Notes:
!NOTES:Regarding Howard H. Grant (1865-1950). His SSA lists his father as William A. Grant and his mother as Lucy Gibbons, who was William A. Grant's step-daughter and about 14 at the time Howard was born. It is possible that record is in error, but it would explain why Howard used the Grant surname instead of his mother's, which was Gibbons at the time, it would also explain why Howard was never mentioned in the obituaries of his siblings and their mother Sarah as one of the surviving brothers, though technically he would be their half brother as well as nephew;
