!OBIT:
NICHOLS | Margaret Marie Herring Floyd, 59, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2003,
at the Marion County Medical Center.

Born in Marion County, she was a daughter of the late Lonnie Lee and Ruby
Sechrest Herring. Mrs. Floyd was a member of Wildwood Free Will Baptist
Church and was employed as a nurse for 32 years.

Mrs. Floyd is survived by her husband, Gean (Hubert Lee) Floyd of Nichols;
one son, Brian Floyd of Nichols; one daughter, Lana Marie Asbill of Atlanta;
one brother, Hal Herring of Mullins; two sisters, Nancy Hewitt of Marion,
and Ruth Rogers of Myrtle Beach; and five grandchildren.

The funeral will be held 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24 at Wildwood Free Will
Baptist Church, with the Rev. James Sarvis officiating. Burial will follow
at Riverside Cemetery in Nichols. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. on
Thursday, Oct. 23, at the funeral home. Meares Funeral Home of Mullins is
serving the family of Mrs. Floyd.
