Obituary
Yeaman “Wain” D. Patterson beloved brother, father and grandfather, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 2, 2020, at the age of 73. Wain was born on October 17, 1946, in Wilmington, North Carolina to Guy Patterson and Annie Lue Hardison Patterson. Wain was an impressive high school athlete and loved sports all of his life. He loved football especially and rarely missed his much-loved Washington Redskins play. He joined the U.S. Navy where he served for a few years and then dedicated most of his life to a career in sales in many different capacities. Wain was the greatest “closer” and could sell anything to anyone at any time. Wain also loved his “doo wop” music, collection of bowties, and eating an “Outlaw Ribeye”. He enjoyed visiting with family for dinners, birthdays, and holidays. He loved attending the annual Patterson family reunions in Bryson City, North Carolina. Wain gave great advice and was a trivia buff! He had a great, dry sense of humor and was a one-of-a-kind. Wain will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him!
Wain is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother, Jeffrey Patterson (Cindy); two daughters, Tracey Patterson Fuller (Dave) and Brooke Patterson Chapman (DJ); three grandchildren, Armanie, Katelyn and Isaiah; one great-grandchild, Ezra; and many family members and friends. A gathering will be held to celebrate Wain’s life in the near future.
