!NOTES:It occurs to me that this James of 1850, since missing in 1860, 1870 and 1880, might be the same James Turner who was associated with Telatha Turner (d/o Stephen) and with Martha Ellen Price since those James/Jim's are also scarce in the records. If so, he really got around and fathered quite a few children out of wedlock;

Both work, for in 1850 her second husband was living next to an Avant in Horry, and in 1900, her daughter Mary was living near an Ammons in Horry. More evidence is needed to prove it either way.
(2) D/C of daughter Mary lists father as Robt Demery and mother as "Doddie Turner".


!NOTES:It isn't 100% clear in each case which of her children were from James Turner and which were from Robert Demery as there seems to be some overlap.
