I don't know for certain that Ed of 1830 & 1840 Buncombe is the same one in 1850 Cherokee, but it fits, and many Buncombe-ites moved to Cherokee during the 1840's, so it fits.

I don't know who his parents are, though he was near Joseph Wright (1770/80) in 1840, perhaps that is his father or an uncle or other close relation;
