Cpt Samuel Patterson:

Notes:

!NOTES:Marty Grant's 4th Great Grandfather;

!NOTES:Father might be Samuel Patterson who was in Rutherford and Buncombe Counties. I have no solid proof that Samuel is the father of Samuel-1805;

!NOTES:Mother might be Elizabeth --- who was an apparent widow on the 1830 census. I don't know for certain if she was Samuel Sr.'s wife, nor if she is Samuel-1805's mother, but someone her age was with Samuel Jr in 1840.;

!NOTES:There is a photo / portrait of Cpt. Samuel Patterson on display at the Colorado Historical Society. They hold it under copyright and restrict its use, so I'm not able to publish it here.;
