!NOTES:There are two Mary Blackwell's in 1860 Buncombe, none anywhere else nearby. Of these, one is the wife of David Blackwell. He is still in Buncombe in 1870, but with a different wife suggesting his Mary died. The other Mary is a daughter of William Blackwell, 65 (c1795). I have no solid proof she is the Mary who married Thomas H. Revis, but there seems no other choices in the area that year.

Moving to 1850 there is another Mary or two in the area, so I can't conclude which is Thomas H. Revis's wife at this time, though I favor this one:
Mary A. E. Blackwell, ca 1840/41 d/o William (c1795 Rutherford) & unknown (no wife with him in 1850, but a Mary age 70 was with him, presumably his mother).
