Marty and Karla Grant

!NOTE:I originally thought Thomas was brother of James and Asa, sons of James Sr of Guilford Co, NC because both James Jr and Thomas were in NC and wound up in Lincoln Co, TN and both named sons "Asa". However, I have found evidence (and Ed Grant has confirmed and added to it) that Thomas was from Person Co, NC and possibly Halifax Co, VA before going to Tennessee. It may be coincidental that he had a son "Asa" and wound up near James Grant Jr.

!NOTE:Ed Grant found marriage bond in Halifax Co, VA between Thomas Grant and Sally Wood dated 6 Apr 1803, Robert Paynor, Surety, married 23 Nov 1803 by Rev. Nathan Hilleway;

Can't find either Rosebrock or Henly Mill Creek on modern map or in gazateer. There were Henly familes in the area in 1790, 1800 and 1810. In 1820, Thomas was just a couple of houses from Lititia Hendley;
