In that matter of Pension claim of Noah STewart father of Noah W. on the 5th
day of July AD 1880; personally appeared before me, a Clerk of Ordinary in
and for the aforesaid County, duly authorized to administer oaths William
Little aged 42 years, aresident of Ivy Log in the county of Union and State
of Georgia, whose PO is Ivy Log Ga and John Rhoad aged 25 years a resident
of Ivy Log in the ocunty of Union and STate ;of Georgia and whose PO is Ivy
Log GA,.............
That; we are personally well acquainted with Noah STewart, applicant for the
last 20 years as neighbors Know him to be the repputed Father of Noah W.
STewart late a private Capt.
(blank space) Co L 4th Regimt Kentucky Cav Vols who died while int he
Military Service of the United States War of 1861. That. Said Noah W STewart
was a young single man unmarried and left no widow or child surviving him.
But that he left the Applicant- Noah STewart his Father and Nancy Stewart his
Mother Surviving his death And bothe of hwich was dependent upon said Noah W.
Stewart for support. And that Nancy Stewart his Mohter applied for and
received a pension of $8 per month as a dependant up to the time of her
death. And that said Nancy Stewart the pensioner anddependant Mother died at
Union (Ivy Log) County State of Georgia on the 12th day of June 1880. Which
fact depondent Know by having near neighbors to the affiant. That our
acquaintance with the family is such that we are able to know the facts
stated.

!NOTES:It's assumed that Nancy was Noah Washington Stewart's wife (With him in 1850 and 1860), but his mother stated he died single. I think the Nancy with him in 1850 and 1860 was Nancy Russell who was with his parents in 1870 and helped take care of them in their old age. Nancy and Noah W. might not have been legally married, so perhaps common law marriage or not a couple at all, just residing together.
