!NOTE:Who was Polly's husband? She was widowed by 1850. She appears to be the mother of David Roberts (1810/20) who married Drusilla Hughes in 1840 for Drusilla was living with her in 1850.
Mary married Mr. Roberts before 1820, he died before 1850. I suspect she is Polly Snipes who married John Roberts in 1816. She fits per the 1830 census, but otherwise I have no proof;

This suggests Mary was with a married daughter or other relative in 1840, and also suggests Mr. Roberts was dead by then;
