I Rachel McIntosh of the County of Yancey and State of NC being of sound mind and memory but frail in Body and considering the uncertainty of my Earthly existence do make and declair this my Last Will and Testament in manner and from the following that is to say first that my Executor herein after named shall provide for my body a descent burial and pay all neccessary funeral expenses thereon together with my Just Debts how to whomever owing. Item To John McIntosh, to Moris McIntosh, Andrew J. McIntosh my three Eldest sons and to my Daughters Matilda McIntosh now Matilda Silver, Della McIntosh now Della Hensley, and Eliza McIntosh now Eliza Briggs having heretofore Left me and on their leaving or since have made or given to each of the above named children what I estimated a fair Distributive portion of my wordly Effects I have therefore made no further porvisions for them. Item To my son Robert McIntosh I give and bequeath with the Exception of what is hereinafter otherwise Desposed of all my personal Estate of every kind consisting of my stock of horses or mules hogs, cattle and sheep all my household and kitchen Furniture toghether with all my farming tools gearing an harness. Likewise my stock of poltery and geese.
Item to my youngest son Sidney E. McIntosh my will is that Robert McIntosh out of the above property given an set apart for himself he give to the said Sidney when he arrives at the age of Twenty one years or sooner if he should settle himself, a horse saddle and bridle to be worth about seventy five dollars with twelve dollars worth of hogs and sheep together with a cow and calf to be worth twelve dollars.
Item to my granddaughter Sarah Caroline McIntosh my will is that Robert McIntosh likewise out of the above property set apart for him be given to the said Sarah at the time she may arrive at the age of Eighteen years or sooner if she should settle herself, one bedstead bed and furniture one wheel and carts. Likewise one cow and heifer. Now therefore my will and Desire is that my son Robert McIntosh will act as and I hereby constitute and appoint him my Lawful Executor to all Intents and purposes to Execute this my Last Will and Testament according to the Law Interest and meaning of the same in witness whereof I the said Rachel McIntosh do hereunto set my hand and seal this 15th Day of September 1846.
