!NOTES:This person is a place-holder used to connect several related people together, though their exact relationship to each other is unknown. Being listed as a child of this person makes them appear to be siblings, but it is not certain if that is the case or not. In fact some probably can't be siblings due to having the same names, or huge differences in age. However, like I stated, this is only to link them together as an extended family unit, until their precise relationships can be determined.

* All of these Davises were of age or first appeared in Buncombe County 1840-1850. I have nothing at this time to tie them together into distinct family units, so I'll keep them all together here until other evidence is located.
* There were other Davises in early Buncombe who aren't attached here, but only because their parentage /origin is known.;
