Services for Susie Mae Rogers Meggs," Miss Sue", will be held Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. in Ebenezer Southern Methodist Church with burial in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation is 7-9 Monday in Cooper Funeral Home.
At her daughters home in Lake View on Saturday, Mrs. Meggs, an avid servant of the Lord, went home to meet her Jesus face to face.
Born in Dillon County, April 30, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Murray Rogers and Sallie Katherine Lee Rogers. She was the widow of the late Morris D. Meggs, Jr. and was a master seamstress. She was a life time member of Ebenezer Southern Methodist Church. She was a member of the Missionary Society, former sunday school teacher, choir member, and was a faithful supporter of the Boys Home and missions.
Survivors include her daughters, Jean (Charlie) Long of Simpsonville and Susan (Robert) Cook of Lake View; sons, Wayne (Margie) Meggs and Ben (Luanne) Meggs of Sellers; 10 grandchildren ,17 great grandchildren, 4 nieces, and 3 nephews.
Mrs. Meggs was preceded in death by her brother, Lester Rogers and her sister, Dorothy Rogers Langley.
