Cynthia Pack:
Notes:
!NOTES:If she were born in SC (per 1850 census), then she could be a daughter of James Pack as listed in at least one online tree (without sources of course) at geneanet.
She also fits as a child of John Pack Sr, I think, especially with the Cherokee connection, as his likely son Jeremiah was also thought to be part Cherokee;
!BIRTH:
1850 Census 38 ca 1811/1812
1860 Census 50 ca 1809/1810
1870 Census 65 ca 1804/1805
1880 Census 70 ca 1809/1810
The ony two that match are 1860 and 1880, giving her a ca 1809/1810 birth year;
!BIRTHPLACE:
1850 Census SC
1860 Census GA
1870 Census GA
1880 Census AL
The only two that match are Georgia, but it doesn't seem likely she was born there;
!NOTES:It was claimed that Cynthia was part Cherokee. If so, it must be via her mother;
!NOTES:Online trees list her as a child of William Shorey Pack (1760-1818) and Elizabeth Lowrey (1796-1851), neither of whom actually existed as far as I've found thus far. Perhaps there is actual evidence of them somewhere other than Indian rolls which were ripe with fraud and heresay evidence.
