Geraldine Lane Brigman, 89, died at her daughter's home surrounded by her family, February 17, 2014. Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at Ebenezer Southern Methodist Church with interment in Old Ebenezer Southern Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Kannaday Funeral Home in Latta.
Mrs. Brigman was born in Marion County November 13, 1924, the daughter of the late Stephen Carroll and Elnora Virginia "Jennie" Perritt Lane. She was the widow of John Oliver Brigman, Jr. She managed Brigman's Cucumber Market, worked at Legg's part time, and was a Homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, was a member of the Temperance Hill Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, the Ebenezer Memorial and Historial Association, Ebenezer Southern Methodist Church Ladies Missionary Society, a Sunday School Teacher, and a devoted member of Ebenezer Southern Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sons, John "Johnny" Oliver Brigman, III (Kathy) of Latta, SC and Christopher "Chris" Brigman (Libby) of Marion, SC; daughters, Susan Hooks of Marion, SC, Laura Beaver of Marion, SC, and Lois Flowers (Richard) of Marion, SC; a brother, Maurice Lane (Eloise) of Latta, SC; a sister, Mavis Stone of Maxton, NC; nine grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Jessie Lane.
