The census shows that :1840- Forsyth Co., GA-16 year old John living at home with his father, Allen, and his mother, Jane.1850- Forsyth Co., GA-John & his wife, Charlotte, have 3 children, incl. baby William J., 6 mos. old.1860- Pickens Co., GA- They have 6 children, incl. 10 yr. old William.1870- Cobb Co., GA- They have 8 children at home- William not there- Elizabeth not there.1880- Paulding Co., GA- They have 5 children at home and 7 are not at home. John's 75 yr. old father, Allen, and his second wife, Anna, have benn living in Paulding Co. for the last 2 census.1900- Cullman Co., AL- (John died in Cullmen Co. in 1897) Charlotte is living with her son, John L. and his family, Other children are also living nearby with their families, incl.
