!NOTES:A descendant has disputed that this Andrew Tomberlin is the same one who fathered Elmira Nix out of wedlock with Margaret Grant Nix in 1856. However, they were neighbors in 1850 and I've found no other Andrew Tomberlin's around. If there were others that I've not seen, then perhaps one of them is the father instead.;
