Rachel Cathey:

Notes:

!NOTES:Rachel isn't a proven Cathey. Lawrence Wood and others speculated that she was. Her family followed the same migration path with the Catheys, Ireland - PA/MD/VA/NC and were associated.

Charles McDowell's 1754 Will included his "friend and neighbor" George Cathey as his executor along with wife Rachel McDowell.

I don't think Rachel was a Cathey. I do suspect either she or Charles were blood related to the Catheys somehow. My main reason for thinking she wasn't a Cathey is that there are NO other Rachel Cathey's in the family back then. Surely she would have had some namesakes.
