Helen Sherrill Nichols, 78, of Graham County, died Monday, March 19, 2007 at her residence.
A native of Graham County, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth Wiggins Sherrill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Mike and Emmit Sherrill; sisters, Mary and Joyce Sherrill and Dorothy Crisp; husband, Ray Nichols who passed away in 1990; sons, Ned Nichols in 1985, and Gary Nichols in 1994.
She is survived by daughters, Marva Hedrick and Ila Waldroup, both of Robbinsville; son, Tim Nichols of Plant City, Fla.; sister, Ruth Nichols of Robbinsville; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Bear Creek Baptist Church on Thursday, March 22. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. at the church with the funeral immediately following.
Family will receive visitors at the home on March 21, at 6 p.m.
