Lillian Nichols Cooper (Morganton News Herald 24 Dec 2003
VALDESE--Lillian Nichols Cooper, 77, of Margie Page St., died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, at her residence.
Mrs. Cooper was born on May 13, 1926, in Graham County to the late Luther Nichols and Florence Wright Nichols.
She was a retired quality inspector with Shadowline and was a member of Community Baptist Church in Drexel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, John Cooper; three brothers, Lloyd, Carl and Harold Nichols; and a sister, Evelyn Jean Nichols.
Survivors include: sons, Richard Cooper, and wife, Edith, and Mike Cooper, and wife, Fran, all of Valdese; daughters, Johnnie Brown of Hickory and Wanda Fisher of the home; brothers, Allen Nichols, Luther "Buck" Nichols and Denny Nichols, all of Drexel, and Bob Nichols of Macon, Ga.; sisters, Marion Vendemia of Jacksonville, Fla., Biddle Powell and Reba Canipe, both of Valdese, and Jean Spake of Drexel; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese with the Rev. Vernon Boughman officiating. Interment will follow in Burke Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. today, prior to the service at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.
