Benjamin Bowles Will Surry County, North CAROLINA

In the name of God Amen, I Benjamin BOWLES of Hanover County, Virginia,
being weak in body but of perfect memory, do make and constitute this my last
will and testament in manner and form following (to wit), I give my body to
the ground from whence it came, and my soul to God who gave it; As to what
worldly Estate the Lord has blessed me with I dispose of as follows.
Item I give and bequeath to my brother Thomas BOWLES five hundred acres
of land lying in Kentucky to him his heirs and assignees forever.
Item I give to my brother John BOWLES one thousand acres of land in
Kentucky, also a negro fellow named Louis to him, his heirs and assignees
forever.
Item I give to my sister Mary FORD five hundred acres of land lying in
Kentucky, also a negro boy named John to him and his heirs and assignees
forever.
Item I give to my sister Fanny BANNARD one negro wench named Silva to her
and her heirs and assignees forever.
I also give to my brother John BOWLES one hundred and twenty five acres
of land lying in Hanover County, Virginia, one black horse? and mare and
saddle to him his heirs and assignees forever, I also constitute and appoint
John BOWLES and Reuben FORD executors of this my last will and testament, in
witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this 30th day of April in One
thousand and seven hundred and eighty.

One was living on Neatman Creek (now Stokes Co, NC) and it seems as though most Surry records (pre 1789) are for him. This John Bowles here may not have actually lived in Surry, but at least two of the records found for "John" are certainly him;
