!OBITUARY:
Margaret Collins Richardson FLORENCE, SC - Margaret Collins Richardson, 85, of Florence, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at Commander Nursing Center in Florence, SC. Mrs. Richardson was born in Marion, SC. She was the daughter of the late Neal Clardy Collins and the late Mamie James Collins. She retired from Southern Bell; she then became an owner and operator of a country store, until she became affiliated with Marion County School District 3. Mrs. Richardson was a longtime member of Florence Baptist Temple and Senior's Adult Sunday School Class. She was a lifetime witness for Jesus Christ. Mrs. Richardson was a well thought of and very loved person. Anyone that ever came around her had their heart touched by her. She always put everyone else's needs before her own. She was kind hearted and loved everyone. She was a very strong woman and she will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death in addition to her parents, by her husband: George Harry Richardson, Jr. and her brothers: Frank and Ray Collins; also her sister, Jean. Surviving are children: Harriette Nack of Blythe-wood, SC; George (Brenda) H. Richardson, III, of Effingham, SC; Debbie Richardson (Harry Eugene Ruple) of Marion, SC. Her grandchildren: Melissa Grant-Sauls, Richard Grant, and Heather Grant, George Richardson, IV, Cheri Richardson, Renie (Jimmy) Poston. Her great-grandchildren: Amber Gay, Morgan Richardson, George H. Richardson, V, Zachary Gay, Grant Sauls, Andrew Grant, Mason Richardson, Blakley Richardson, Lexie Poston and Rylie Poston. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, September 13, 2013 in the Florence Baptist Temple Chapel directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Galivants Ferry Baptist Church Cemetery in Galivants Ferry. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM - 12:00 noon on Friday at the church.
