The geographic scope of my interest in the Hensley surname in Virginia is the 1600's through circa 1850 (and later in the Scott County area). My own ancestors were proven to have lived in Buckingham, Washington and Scott Counties.
Note that no West Virginia counties are included here, though they were technically part of Virginia until the 1860's. See Hensleys of West Virginia for those families.
