I (Marty Grant) am not related to Susan Hinesley as far as I know.

I'm not sure if this families surname is "Hinesley" or just "Hinsley". If "Hinsley", then they may be connected with some of the Hensleys in Georgia. (See Hensley Spellings for more on this subject).

Susan is presumably a widow, though it is possible that she was a single mother instead. I only have one record for her so far (the 1850 census), so without further evidence, I'm going to assume she is a widow of some unknown Mr. Hinesley.

Susan --- was born ca 1804/05 (per 1850 census) in Georgia (per 1850 census). I don't know what county. I have no clue what her maiden name might be.

Susan apparently married a Mr. Hinesley sometime before ca 1830, presumably in Clarke Co, GA. I base this date on her oldest child who was with her in 1850 being born ca 1829/30. I have no leads on who her husband was. It is possible that she was a 2nd wife to  John Hinesley (c1780/90) who was in Clarke County in 1820 and 1830.

The 1830 census for Clarke County, Georgia only shows John Hinesley (c1780/90) listed, and no other Hinesleys. Susan does not fit into John's 1830 household

The 1840 census for Clarke County, Georgia only shows Erwin Hinesley (c1813) listed, and no other Hinesleys. Susan does not fit into Erwin's 1840 household. She may have been living with some other family, or perhaps been in another county.

Susan's husband must have died between ca 1844 and 1850, for she was an apparent widow on the 1850 census.

Susan and children were listed on the 1850 census in Clarke County, Georgia in Wild Oat District.

Susan had at least four children per the 1850 census. I don't have any additional information on any of them yet.
