Susan Hensley was born ca 1779/80 per her age of 70 on the 1850 census. She was born in Virginia according to the same source, county unknown.

I don't know if Susan was born a Hensley and died unmarried, or if she was widowed by a yet unidentified Mr. Hensley. If so, her husband died prior to 1850.

At this time I only have one record for Susan, and that is the 1850 census. I did not find her on the earlier census records or on any later ones.

She is on the 1850 census in Patrick Co., VA in the poor house. There are many residents, but she is the only one named Hensley.

As noted, the 1850 census is the only record I have for Susan at present. I did not find her in Patrick County in 1860, nor elsewhere for that matter.
