The author (Marty Grant) is not related to James Patterson as far as can be determined. James Patterson was born ca 1800/10 per his age on the 1830 census (20-29). I don't know who his parents are. The first and only record I have for James is his entry on the 1830 census in Hall Co., GA. He isn't listed near any of the other Hall County Pattersons. 1830 census analysis (based on available evidence): (Explanation of this census) 1830 Hall Co., GA page 117 James Patterson 0000100000000-1000100000000 Slaves=000000-000000 Analysis: 1 Male 20-29 (1800/1810) James Patterson (1800/10) 1 Female 20-29 (1800/1810) Wife 1 female 0-4 (1825/1830) Daughter? 0 Slaves James wasn't in Hall County for the 1840 census nor elsewhere in the region as far as I could determine. There were numerous James Pattersons in various counties in Georgia that year as well as west of Georgia in the typical migration points. I have no way to know which of them might be this same James. |
Children of James Patterson. The 1830 census shows one apparent daughter born ca 1825/30. |
