Watson Genealogy - Eastern North Carolina and Eastern South Carolina
Welcome to my Watson web pages.
My Watson lineage begins with my great grandmother Zadie Idell Watson (1896-1963) who married Thomas Lide Turner in 1914 in Marion Co., SC. Zadie was born in Columbus Co., NC a child of William Henry Watson (1852-c1903) and Mary Catherine Davis who married 1882 in Columbus Co., NC.
William is a son of Joseph Watson (c1825-1850s) and Sarah Jenkins who married 1851 in Onslow Co., NC. Joseph's parents are unknown, but it is thought he is related to the rather extensive Watson family of Onslow, Jones and neighboring Counties. I don't think my Watsons are related to the extensive Watson family in Marion Co., SC but I am interested in them as well due to many intermarriages with my other lines there.
