Revision History:

4 Nov 2008 - Created by Marty Grant.

Richard Q. Watson was born before ca 1771, assuming he was at least 16 when he witnessed a deed in 1787.

I dont know who his parents were, but he may be a brother to William James Watson of Bladen Co., NC.

On 5 May 1787 William James Watson deeded land to James Bradly and John Cowan for ₤500 being 100 acres on both sides of Browns Creek joining Robert McKonkey and Thomas Bryan. Witnesses were Richard Q. Watson and L. Berry Stokes. (Bladen Co., NC Deed Book 1, page 376)

Richard is listed on the 1790 census in neighboring New Hanover Co., NC.

1790 census analysis (based on available evidence): (Explanation of this census)
