A complete transcription of the 1800 census for Marion District South Carolina. This census listed the name of each head of household in the county and further enumerated each family by categories:
Marion District was formed in 1798, effective 1800, so this was the first census taken for Marion. In 1800 Marion covered a much larger area than today including all of the present day Marion County and Dillon County and about half of present day Florence County. "Liberty County" was the former name of the area while it was still a part of Georgetown District. "Liberty" was discontinued in 1800, though the census taker still used it for this census.

Note: I have published an "annotated" version of the 1800 census also, it contains cross references to other records. Check it out if interested.
