!OBIT:
MULLINS — Mr. Burnie Johnson, 78, husband of Gail Turner Johnson, died
Thursday, July 5, 2007, at his home after an illness.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 7 in Gethsemane
Cemetery. The services will be directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
Mr. Johnson was born July 15, 1928, in Horry County, a son of the late Monroe
and Flossie Martin Johnson. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during
the Korean War. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving Mr. Johnson, in addition to his wife of 39 years and of the home,
are two daughters, Lisa Allen and her husband, Doug, of Centenary and Sarah
Johnson and her husband, Allen, of Marion; four grandchildren, Angel, Jennifer,
D.J. and Allyson; a sister, Agnes Chestnut and her husband, Marvin, of
Galivants Ferry; a brother, Ernest Johnson and his wife, Elnita, of Conway; and
several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
