!NOTES:This person is a place-holder used to connect several related people together, though their exact relationship to each other is unknown. Being listed as a child of this person makes them appear to be siblings, but it is not certain if that is the case or not. In fact some probably can't be siblings due to having the same names, or huge differences in age. However, like I stated, this is only to link them together as an extended family unit, until their precise relationships can be determined.

This generation of Blackmans are probably sons of John (Tory John), Solomon Sr and perhaps Benjamin Blackman. These are the oldest of the Blackmans in Marion Co., SC region. I don't know which son belongs to which father.

Apparent widows Abigail and Jamima are also a mystery, not sure who their husbands were.;

!NOTES:There were two adult men named Solomon Blackman in what is now Marion County in the 1780s through early 1800s. The older used "Sr", and the younger "Jr", these men could be father and son, or Uncle / Nephew, or cousins. The record is not always clear which was being referenced, so keep in mind there may be some errors or overlap.;

!NOTES:Possible Children:
James Blackman and wife had several children per the census records. I strongly suspect that Henry Blackman (1775/94) is one of them since he was living next to James in 1820. William Blackman (1774/84) was next to James in 1800, he could be another son, but I have no direct proof for any of them. Darlington County records may reveal who James' children were.
From Census Analysis:
