14 Sep 1847 James Haselden Exec of Will of James G. Crawford, shows that about 1840 Daniel Platt late of Marion Dist., died intestate leaving his widow Mary Platt and among others the following minor children of himself and Mary Platt: Mary Jane Platt, George W. Platt, Catherine Platt, Charlotte Platt, Sarah Platt, and Eliza Platt.
James Lane, Mary's father, and James G. Crawford orator's testator, were sureties for her bond. Mary Platt has remarried Josiah W.Moody who by said marriage became possessed of five negroes, the property of Mary, and her lands. James G. Crawford died June 1846 leaving the orator as sole exec.
