Bounded on N by estate of John Manning decd, W By Joseph Bass, SE by Levi Jones. Other tract on which John Deer Jur formerly lived adjoining the above, as purchased by said John Deer Jr at sale of same as property of Daniel Platt for partition among his distributes and heirs bought by said Mary Platt from said John Deer Jr.
Also following Negroe: Jane or Jenny, George, Fanny, Cyrus, Mariah.
Above named Mary Moody was was Mary Platt and widow of Daniel Platt decd before her intermarriage with the above named Josiah Moody having been appointed guardian of her minor children: Charlotte Platt, Mary Jane Platt, Cathearine Platt, Sarah Platt, Eliza Platt and George W. Platt ... several bonds with the above named J. W. Lane and Jas G. Crawford as sureties thereto on 23 Jan 1841 in penal sum of $1400 cash.

!NAMED-EQUITY ROLL # 169 Marion Co., SC. 1847. James Haselden, Exor vs. Josiah W. Moody and wife et al.
14 Sep 1847 James Haselden Exec of Will of James G. Crawford, shows that about 1840 Daniel Platt late of Marion Dist., died intestate leaving his widow Mary Platt and among others the following minor children of himself and Mary Platt: Mary Jane Platt, George W. Platt, Catherine Platt, Charlotte Platt, Sarah Platt, and Eliza Platt.
James Lane, Mary's father, and James G. Crawford orator's testator, were sureties for her bond. Mary Platt has remarried Josiah W.Moody who by said marriage became possessed of five negroes, the property of Mary, and her lands. James G. Crawford died June 1846 leaving the orator as sole exec.

Manning and is the other part of the land mortgaged by Jas G. Crawford and Jas Lane Sr.
