I (Marty Grant) am not related to the C.C. Grant family as far as I know. I am very interested in her though.

C.C. Grant (female) was born ca 1831/32 in NC, presumably New Hanover or Onslow Co, NC. I can only guess what her initials stood for (Catherine, Christian, etc).

She was listed on the 1850 census in New Hanover Co, NC with the Franklin Swan family. She was age 18, and the nearest other Grant family was that of William Grant and Anna, but they weren't too close by. I don't know who C.C.'s parents might have been.

There were no other Grant families nearby in 1850, though there were others in New Hanover County.

I didn't find C.C. Grant in the 1860 census, she probably married in the 1850's. I did find "F. Swann" on page 718 of the 1860 New Hanover Co, NC census. I don't have the listing to see if C.C. Grant was still with him.

Children

I have no data on whether C. C. Grant ever married or had any children.
