I (Marty Grant) am not related to Jane Grant as far as I know, but I am very interested in her.
Jane A. Grant was born ca 1812/13 in NC, presumably in Cumberland Co, NC. I don't know if she was a Grant by birth, or a widow of a Mr. Grant who died before 1840.
There was a James Grant in Cumberland Co, NC on the 1820 census. He had a daughter under 10 (born ca 1810/20) which could easily be Jane A. Grant (c1813). However, I have no proof that this is the case.
There were no Grant families listed in Cumberland Co, NC on the 1830 census. However, on the 1840 census, there was one listing, that of Jane Grant. She was listed as head of household, and there was no one else with her.

By the time of the 1850 census, there were three Grant families listed in Cumberland Co, NC. One was Jane A. Grant, the other two had moved there from Wayne Co, NC during the 1840's, and probably aren't closely related to Jane. The others were Allen Grant and his father Jesse Grant. These two were in the Eastern Division of Cumberland County, while Jane was in the western division.

By the time of the 1860 census, the Wayne County Grants had gone back to Wayne County, but Jane Grant was still in Cumberland.

It does not appear that Jane A. Grant ever married, nor had any children.
