I (Marty Grant) am not related to E. Anderson Hensley as far as I know.
E. Anderson Hensley was born ca 1819/20 (per 1850 census) in Georgia (per 1850 census). I don't know what county.
I don't know who Anderson's parents are. There were two sets of families in Carroll County, Georgia that he could be associated with. One was the Enoch Hensley and Amy Houston family. Enoch did have an unknown son about Anderson's age. If Anderson is not closely associated with the Enoch Hensley family, then it seems he may be part of the Hinesley family. Thomas Hinesley (1761-1834) and Alford Hinesley (c1794) were in Carroll Co, GA early on, and they could be somehow related to him, if his surname is "Hinesley" instead of "Hensley".
For the 1820 census, Anderson would have been just a few months old, if already born when the census taker came around. However, I don't know where to look for his family that year.
In 1830, Anderson would have been about 10 years old, so he should be enumerated in either the "5-9" category (born ca 1820/25) or in the 10-14 category (born ca 1815/20). Enoch Hensley (in Hall County, GA that year) had unknown sons in each of those age groups, so one of them could be Anderson Hensley.
In 1840, Anderson would have been about 20 years old, so probably enumerated in either the 20-29 age group (born ca 1810/20) or in the 15-19 age group (born ca 1820/25). Enoch had an unknown son 15-19 with him in 1840 Carroll Co, GA.
On 2 Oct 1844, "E. Anderson Hensley" married Deni Ann Witcher in Fulton County, Georgia (east of Carroll County). I have no birth date, nor parents for Deni.
Apparently Deni Ann Witcher Hensley died sometime between ca 1845 and 1850, presumably in Carroll Co, GA, leaving Anderson with just one child.
Anderson and one child were living with the J. M. and Elizabeth Bertram family in 1850 in Carroll County, Georgia. A Mary Witcher was with them also, probably a sister of his late wife. I don't know how he is related to the Bertram family. Perhaps Elizabeth Bertram is his sister, or sister of his late wife.

I did not find Anderson on the 1860 or 1870 census. I found a "Rokothy Hensley" born ca 1859 in 1880 Carroll Co, GA with the Bushrod W. Witcher family, listed as "Niece". I suspect she is somehow related to Anderson Hensley.
Anderson and Deni had at least one child per the 1850 census. I have no additional data on him so far.
