I (Marty Grant) am not related to Enoch Hensley as far as I know.

Enoch W. Hensley was born ca 1809/10 (per 1850 census) in South Carolina (per 1850 census), county unknown, though Laurens District seems the most likely place.
I don't know who Enoch's parents are, but I'd bet he is closely related to Enoch Hensley (1765/70) and Sarah Boling who lived in Culpeper Co, VA and Laurens Dist, SC, later moving to Jackson Co, TN, then to Warren Co, TN, finally to Lawrence Co, Arkansas (which is not particularly close to Desha County.) Old Enoch could very easily be younger Enoch's father, but I have no direct proof of this. However, since young Enoch was born in SC in the same year old Enoch was living there, and since they both wound up in Arkansas, it seems to be more than a coincidence. There were only a few Hensleys in SC at all. It is also possible that Enoch was a son of Benjamin Hensley (c1791) who may be the same Benjamin listed next to him in 1840 Desha County, AR.
Enoch Hensley would probably have been home with his parents for the 1810 census, probably in SC, since he was born in that state in or near that very year. Assuming he was born yet, he would be less than a year old, so he should be in the "under 10" age group. In all of SC that year, there were only a few Hensley households, and only one of them had an apparent son this age, and that was the elder Enoch Hensley previously mentioned.
In 1820, Enoch would probably have been home with his parents still, and since he was about 10 years old, he should be enumerated in either the age 10-15 age group (born ca 1804/10) or in the "under 10" age group (born ca 1810/20). I have no idea where his family was living in 1820, so I can't be sure of anything, but the elder Enoch Hensley had moved to Jackson Co, TN by 1820, and that year he had 3 apparent sons in the appropriate age groups, one of which could be young Enoch.
Enoch Hensley would have been about 20 years old by the 1830 census. He should be enumerated in the age 20-29 category (born ca 1800/10) or in the age 15-19 category (born ca 1810/15). Old Enoch had moved to Warren Co, TN by 1830, and he did have an apparent son age 15-19 with him that year, possibly being young Enoch.
Enoch W. Hensley married Caroline M. --- sometime before 1840 in Desha Co, Arkansas. Caroline was born ca 1823/24 in Arkansas. I don't know her maiden name.
Enoch was listed on the 1840 census in Desha Co, Arkansas, near Benjamin Hensley (c1800), possibly a brother or close relative. This Benjamin might be the same Benjamin Hensley (c1791) who was later in Ouachita County, Arkansas. If so, this might be an indication that Benjamin was in fact his father (or much older brother).

In 1850, Enoch and family were still in Desha County in Wilkinson District.

Enoch apparently died between 1850 and 1856, for on 25 Jun 1856, Caroline married Ambrose J. Walker in Desha Co, AR. Ambrose was born ca 1834/35 (per his age on the marriage record of "21").
Ambrose J. Walker died sometime between 1856 and 1860 in Desha Co, AR.
Caroline and some of her children were residing with W. R. Wilkinson for the 1860 census in Wilkinson District of Desha County. One of the other residents was James Jenkins, who later in 1860 (August) married a "Martha Hensley", but I don't know who she was, though it seems very likely she is connected to this family.

I have no data on Caroline after 1860.
Enoch and Caroline had at least 4 children. They were all home in 1850, and two were still with Caroline in 1860. I have very little additional data on them.
