I (Marty Grant) am not related to Enoch Hensley as far as I know.
Enoch Hensley was born ca 1774/75 (per 1850 census). This agrees with all his previous census entries (which is rare). In 1800, he was age 16-25, or born ca 1774/84. In 1810 he was age 26-44, or born ca 1765/1784. In 1820 he was age 45+, or born before 1775. To reconcile these three, we can narrow his birth range down to ca 1774/75 (which is a perfect match with his age in 1850). In 1830 he was age 50-59, or born ca 1770/80. In 1840 he was 60-69, or born ca 1770/80, and in 1850 he was "75", or born ca 1774/75. All of these reconcile very well with each other.
Enoch Hensley was born in Virginia (per the 1850 census), and I suspect he was born in Culpeper County (where he married twice before moving to South Carolina).
Enoch Hensley may be a son of Samuel Hensley and Mary ---. Mary Hensley made a Will in 1822 in Abbeville Dist, SC naming children, including son "Enoch". Although I'm reasonably sure that Mary is Enoch's mother (this Enoch), I'm not totally sure at all who her husband was, but I think he was Samuel Hensley who died ca 1782 in SC, but that is not yet proven. (See their page for more on them).
It should be noted that there was an older Enoch Hensley (c1731) in Culpeper Co, VA who could be a close relative to this younger Enoch, perhaps his Uncle (or even his father).
Enoch Hensley married Jane Nicholson on 28 Feb 1789 in Culpeper Co, VA. She was born ca 1755/74 (per 1800 census). I don't know who her parents were. I should note that I'm not sure if this Enoch who married Jane is the same Enoch under study here. I believe that he is the same Enoch who later married Sarah Boling, but there is room for some doubt. Enoch would only have been about 15 years old in 1789, so kind of young to marry.
Enoch would probably have been listed on the 1790 census in Culpeper Co, VA, but unfortunately, the 1790 census is lost for Virginia.
Enoch and Jane apparently moved to Laurens District, SC in the 1790's. They were listed there on the 1800 census. They were next to John Proctor. One of Enoch's sisters (Frances) was married to a Proctor, though I don't know if it was "John". Enoch was two pages away from his mother Mary Hensley.

Apparently, Jane Nicholson Hensley died sometime before 28 Dec 1800, for on that date, Enoch Hensley married Sarah Boling in Culpeper Co, VA. Sarah was born ca 1764/65 (per 1850 census) in Virginia, possibly Culpeper County. I don't know who her parents are. Although Enoch was living in Laurens Dist, SC at the time, it was not uncommon for folks to travel back to their home area to marry. They apparently immediately went back to Laurens District after marriage.
Enoch Hensley was listed on the 1810 census in Laurens District, SC near several Sadlers (one of his sisters married a Sadler), and two pages from brother Samuel Hensley (1775/84). For some reason, Enoch's wife was listed in an age category way too young in this census and also in later census records. (Perhaps Sarah Boling is not the same Sarah with Enoch in 1850).

Enoch and family left Laurens District, South Carolina in the 1810-20 timeframe, and moved to Jackson County, Tennessee.
Enoch was listed on the 1820 census in Jackson County, Tennessee. Unfortunately, this census taker alphabetized the listings, so I can't tell who Enoch's neighbors were. Also the age columns for the females seem to be one short, so I'm not sure the enumerations are accurate. There was no female even close to Sarah's age, so I feel something is wrong here. There was no apparent column where she should have been listed. There was a John Hensley (1790/94) also listed here, but since the list was alphabetical, I don't know if they lived anywhere near each other, or if they are related.

During the 1820's, Enoch and family moved south just a short distance to Warren County, Tennessee. Henry Hensley (c1783) formerly of Buckingham Co, VA moved there about the same time, but I know of no relationship between them, and they did not seem to live near each other.
Enoch Hensley was listed on the 1830 census in Warren Co, TN. He was just a few houses from son Samuel Hensley and from son-in-law John S. Hardin. Jacob Baker (probably the same as Jacob M. Baker, see below) was nearby also. He may be related, as he followed Enoch Hensley to Arkansas.

Sometime between 1830 and ca 1835, Enoch Hensley moved to his family south to Lawrence County, Arkansas. Son-in-law John S. Hardin had moved there by 1833, so they probably followed them down there. Jacob M. Baker also made the same move.
Enoch was listed on the 1835, 1836, 1837 and 1838 tax lists for Lawrence Co, AR.
Enoch was listed on the 1840 census in Lawrence Co, AR near son Samuel Hensley and son-in-law John S. Hardin. Interestingly, "Jacob M. Baker" was close by in 1840, just as in 1830 Warren Co, TN. This may indicate a relationship of some sort.

In 1850, Enoch and family were still in Lawrence County in Washington District.

I did not find Enoch or Sarah in 1860, so it would appear they had died in the 1850-60 timeframe. Their son James G. Hensley was residing with sister Telitha Hardin in 1860.
Enoch and Jane Nicholson had at least one child together, and Enoch and Sarah Boling had several together. Most of their children are not proven, but I've come up with a list that is based on circumstantial evidence, most of it fairly strong.
Unknown Son (1794/1800) Larkin Hensley (c1800)
Unknown Son (1800/04) Samuel Hensley (c1802)
Unknown Daughter (1800/04) Telitha Hensley (c1802)
Unknown Son (1804/10) John S. Hensley (1804/10)
Unknown Son (1794/1800). Enoch Hensley had an apparent son this age. He was home in 1800 (age "under 10", born ca 1790/1800) and still home in 1810 (age 10-15, born ca 1794/1800), and still home in 1820 (age 16-25, born ca 1794/1804), but gone by 1830, so probably married or dead by then.
I think it is highly likely that this is Larkin Hensley (c1800) for several reasons. First, Larkin was born ca 1800 which fits age-wise. Second, he was born in South Carolina, which is where Enoch was at that time. And lastly, Larkin was in Lawrence Co, AR with Enoch. None of these facts prove that Larkin is Enoch's son, but it is good circumstantial evidence. Also consider that his brother Samuel named one of his sons "Larkin". See his own page for additional information.
Unknown Son (1800/04). Enoch Hensley had an apparent son this age. He was home in 1810 (age "under 10", born ca 1800/10) and still home in 1820 (age 16-25, born ca 1794/1804), but gone by 1830, so probably married or dead by then.
I think it is highly likely that this is Samuel Hensley (c1802) for several reasons. First, Samuel was born ca 1802 which fits age-wise. Second, he was born in South Carolina, which is where Enoch was at that time. And lastly, Samuel was in Warren Co, TN with Enoch in 1830 and with him in Lawrence Co, AR after that. None of these facts prove that Samuel is Enoch's son, but it is strong circumstantial evidence. See his own page for additional information.
Unknown Daughter (1800/04). Enoch Hensley had an apparent daughter this age. She was home in 1810 (age "under 10", born ca 1800/10) and still home in 1820 (age 16-25, born ca 1794/1804), but gone by 1830, so probably married or dead by then.
This is probably Telitha Hensley, born ca 1801/02 (per 1850 census) in South Carolina. I have no direct evidence that Telitha was a Hensley at all, but I think she is. There are several factors that lead me to this conclusion. First of all, she fits age-wise, and her birth place is South Carolina, which is where Enoch was at that time. She married in Warren Co, TN and lived near Enoch Hensley there and went with him to Lawrence Co, AR. After Enoch and Sarah's death, Telitha took in James G. Hensley (who was an "idiot"), so that makes a lot of sense if he was her brother. All of the above is circumstantial, but very strong circumstantial evidence.
Telitha Hensley married John S. Hardin sometime between 1820 and 1830, in Warren County, Tennessee (or possibly in Jackson County, TN). John S. Hardin was born ca 1802/03 in either Kentucky (per 1850 census) or Tennessee (per 1860 census). I don't know who his parents were.
They were listed on the 1830 census in Warren Co, TN just two houses from Telitha's parents and next to brother Samuel Hensley.

Sometime between 1830 and ca 1833, John and Telitha Hardin moved south to Lawrence County, Arkansas.
John S. Hardin was listed on the 1833, 1835, 1836, 1837 and 1838 tax lists for Lawrence Co, AR.
John S. Hardin was listed on the 1840 census in Lawrence Co, AR near brother-in-law Samuel Hensley and father-in-law Enoch Hensley.

In 1850, John and Telitha were still in Lawrence County in Read Creek District, listed next door to John M. D. Hardin (c1828), probably their son, and two houses from brother Samuel Hensley (c1801).

I have no data on them after 1860.
Unknown Son (1804/10). Enoch Hensley had an apparent son this age. He was home in 1810 (age "under 10", born ca 1800/10) and still home in 1820 (age 10-15, born ca 1804/10), but gone by 1830, so probably married or dead by then.
This is most likely John S. Hensley who died in 1838 in Lawrence Co, AR. I have no birth data on John, but if he is this son, then he was born ca 1804/10, probably in Laurens District, SC.
John S. Hensley married Edith Smith prior to 1838, presumably in Lawrence Co, AR. Edith was born ca 1811/12 in Tennessee, daughter of Alexander Smith and Edith --- (both born NC).
John died before 3 Oct 1838 (date of his Estate). His estate records named his widow Edith and 4 children.
I did not find Edith Smith Hensley on the 1840 census. She may have been living with her parents, or with a sibling.
On 20 Nov 1843, Edith Smith Hensley married Joseph C. McGee in Lawrence Co, AR. Joseph was born ca 1801/02 in North Carolina. He had apparently been married previously, and had several children.
Joseph and Edith were listed on the 1850 census in Lawrence Co, AR just three houses from father-in-law Enoch Hensley.

Unknown Son (1804/10). Enoch Hensley had an apparent son this age. He was home in 1810 (age "under 10", born ca 1800/10) and still home in 1820 (age 10-15, born ca 1804/10), but gone by 1830, so probably married or dead by then.
I don't know who this is, but it could be Enoch W. Hensley (c1810) of Desha Co, AR. Enoch was born in SC, and based on that, and his age, and his name, he fits fairly well as a possible child of the elder Enoch. However, I have no data putting them in the same county at the same time (other than being in the same states at the same time, as they were in SC at the same time, and in AR at the same time).
Enoch W. Hensley lived in Desha County, Arkansas, which is not near Lawrence County, but very far south of it. However, this doesn't preclude them from being of the same family. However, I'm not confident enough yet to list Enoch W. as a son of Enoch Sr.
See Enoch's own page for more on him.
Unknown Daughter (1804/10). Enoch Hensley had an apparent daughter this age. She was home in 1810 (age "under 10", born ca 1800/10) and still home in 1820 (age 10-15, born ca 1804/10), but gone by 1830, so probably married or dead by then. She might have still been home in 1830 if she was enumerated in the age 15-19 category (born ca 1810/15) which works if her birth date was ca "1810".
There is a Jacob M. Baker (c1803 TN) and wife Sarah (c1817 TN) who were in Warren Co, TN with Enoch Hensley in 1830, who went with him down to Lawrence Co, AR. It seems reasonable that they are somehow related based on the continued proximity over several years and in two states. Also, a young John A. Baker (c1834) was with Enoch Hensley in 1850, and he could be a son of Jacob (just a guess though). I thought that Sarah could be a Hensley and a daughter of Enoch, but her age does not match up with this unknown daughter, but it is possible that Sarah was not Jacob's first wife. However, more research is needed.
For the record (whether or not they are related), Jacob Baker was a few houses from Enoch Hensley in 1830 Warren Co, TN. He was just as close in 1840 Lawrence Co, AR and in 1850 he was in Lawrence, but a few pages away.
James G. Hensley was born ca 1812/13 (per 1850 census) in Laurens Dist, SC. The 1850 and 1860 census lists him as "Idiotic". He was apparently home with his parents for the 1820 census (age "under 10", born ca 1810/20), and apparently home in 1830 (age 15-19, born ca 1810/15), and still home in 1840 (age 20-29, born ca 1810/20), and home in 1850 ("James G." age 37, born SC).
After his parents deaths in the 1850's, he went to live with his sister Telitha Hensley Hardin. He was with them for the 1860 census ("James" age 44, born SC).
I have no data on James after 1860.
Unknown Daughter (1810/15). This is probably not a daughter. Someone this age was with Enoch Hensley in 1830 (age 15-19, born ca 1810/15), but no one that age was with them back in 1820. It is possible this is the same person as the daughter born ca 1804/10 (if she was born ca "1810"). It is also possible she was just a boarder, or niece living with them in 1830 only. She was not with them in 1840.
