Jane Watson was listed on the
1778 tax list in Bladen Co., NC in Capt Joseph
Woods district.
James Watson was also listed there, relationship
unknown. Jane was listed with ₤124.0.0 in property. I would guess that Jane was a widow of a Mr. Watson who had died before 1778. Unfortunately the 1778 tax list is the only record I have for her. If she lived near James Watson (who was on the same tax list), then she probably lived in present day Robeson County which was formed from Bladen in 1786. |
