I think my David Carson was born in PA 1760-65. I think his parents (findings suggest they were William Carson and Margaret McCord married 1760 Dauphin PA) moved to western NC c1780s, which is consistent with the McCord researchers who say the PA McCords moved first to that part of NC. David probably married Catherine in NC c1788, then moved to TN 1790-1799, then back to Buncombe NC around 1799. I'm assuming Catherine was a daughter of Matthew Patterson because they named their second son Matthew, a name that never occurred prior to him on the Carson or McCord sides. | Carson, David (I24713)
