83312 | Viney Barnes was born ca 1784/94, whereabouts unknown, possibly in SC. I don't yet know if Viney was a widow or if she was a single mother. She may be closely related to Charles Barnes, and Richard Barnes, as she was next door to Charles in 1810, and near Richard also that year. Viney appeared on the 1810 census in Marion Dist, SC. She was next door to Charles Barnes, relationship unknown. !CENSUS:1810 Marion District, SC pg 86A Viney Barnes 20000-10100 Analysis: 2 Male(s) 0-9 (1800-1810) Son? Viney Barnes was listed on the 1814 Marion tax lists and charged with 18 cents tax (which means she owned land or other taxable property). Viney Barnes was not listed on the 1820 census in Marion District, SC, so that means she either died before then, or moved away, or perhaps married (or remarried?). Children: Viney Barnes apparently had three children based on the 1810 census record, but unfortunately, none have been identified.
