- !NOTES:I (Marty Grant) am not related to this person as far as I know. However, I am interested in all Davis families in western North Carolina to some extent.
* I am interested in Buncombe County Davis families through 1860;
!NOTES:This person is a place-holder used to connect several related people together, though their exact relationship to each other is unknown. Being listed as a child of this person makes them appear to be siblings, but it is not certain if that is the case or not. In fact some probably can't be siblings due to having the same names, or huge differences in age. However, like I stated, this is only to link them together as an extended family unit, until their precise relationships can be determined.
* George Douglas Davis and Mary Davis (both listed as "Daves") were neighbors (12 houses apart) in 1820.
* In 1830 John W. Davis (c1800) lived in the part of Buncombe that became Henderson. I don't know that it ties him to Douglas, etc., but it is a sort of link.;
